Lamiez Holworthy Biography
Lamiez Holworthy is a DJ, a television personality, a radio presenter, a record producer, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist based in South Africa. She was born on June 12, 1992. Her role as host of the music program Live AMP on SABC 1 brought her the most fame.
Early life and education
Lamiez Holworthy was born in Eersterust on June 12, 1992, but she spent most of her childhood in Laudium. First, she went to Andrew Anthony Primary School, then Sunnyside Primary School, and finally, she finished her education at Kwaggasrand Primary.  In addition, she spent grades 8 and 9 at the Pro Arte Alphen Park school. She received her matriculation certificate from Laudium secondary school in 2009, and then in 2012, she attended the Boston media house to study media.
In 2010, Lamiez began her career as an underground disc jockey while simultaneously acquiring and perfecting her skills in the art of mixing. She began her career when she was still in high school by appearing as a guest host on a show called KMTV that was broadcast on Soweto TV. She later became the host of the South African lifestyle show Living The Dream, which was broadcast on Tshwane TV. She has disclosed that after an incident that occurred during her audition in which her car was vandalized and her DJ equipment was taken, she came dangerously close to leaving the entertainment industry. She had to wait seven years before she was cast in her most significant role on SABC 1’s Live Amp.
She has been the official DJ for Miss South Africa for the past two years in addition to being the official DJ for Sun City Resort, where she works full-time.
She began her role as co-host of the dance show Penthouse Session on Metro FM in April 2021, alongside South African DJ and presenter Lulo Cafe.
She served in that capacity during the 27th South African Music Awards, which took place in July of 2021.
Her first single, titled “Sthokoze,” was released in August 2021, and it featured both The Lowkeys and Drip Gogo as guest artists. At the South African Amapiano Awards held later that year, she was considered for the nomination for Best Amapiano Female DJ Act.
She established the Lamiez Holworthy Foundation as her very own personal philanthropic organization. The foundation offers financial support to shelters and homes for abused and neglected HIV-positive children as well as children who have been orphaned. In addition to this, the foundation strives to provide students who come from less fortunate backgrounds with educational resources, financial assistance, and sponsors.
As a result of the charitable work that she has done, she was recognized for it at the South African Heroines Awards in October of 2021.
She is married to South Africa rapper Khuli Chana and is a step mother to Khuli’s daughter who he had before their marriage.
