In April, Kodak Black released his single “No Love For A Thug,” which will be included on the upcoming album. Additionally, he recently collaborated with NLE Choppa, JVKE, Muni Long, and BTS' Jimin on the song “Angel Pt. 1,” featured on the Fast X soundtrack. Earlier this year, he joined forces with Sniper Gang's Syko Bob on “My Lil Shit,” and his first release of 2023 was the single “Maui Woop.”
Furthermore, Kodak Black is set to join fellow rapper Lil Durk on the “Sorry For The Drought” tour in Summer 2023. The tour, announced this week, will also include NLE Choppa and DD Osama. Starting in July in Tampa, FL, the tour will conclude in September in Phoenix, AZ. Earlier this year, Charlamagne Tha God praised Kodak Black, referring to him as “the GOAT” and drawing comparisons to Kendrick Lamar. Charlamagne stated, “I look at Kodak Black the same way I look at Kendrick Lamar. I'm not even joking. I feel like they're both two different levels of prolific,” emphasizing that they tell similar stories from different perspectives, ultimately representing different versions of the same hood kid.
